OYO Flagship 78298 Hotel Rest Inn

The walls in the passages were filthy with dirt and grime, which made me question the hygiene throughout the hotel. The lift didn’t work, so carrying luggage up multiple flights of stairs was both inconvenient and a safety concern. The staff came across as arrogant and indifferent, and didn’t seem willing to address concerns or offer basic service. The hotel looked badly neglected, with no sign of renovation or upkeep. Altogether, it was a disappointing stay, and I’d strongly advise considering somewhere else before booking.

The only good thing was the location in KP, Pune. The rest of the stay was so bad I don’t even want to remember it, so here are the main points: pathetic service, electricity problems, and serious cleanliness and hygiene issues. Everything from the furniture to the washroom and other basic facilities was awful. The washrooms were the worst, with no cleaning and no proper water supply. Avoid this place and find something better, even if it costs more. Otherwise, it’ll be a waste of money.

The ground floor restaurant serves good, pure vegetarian food, and the thali tastes very homemade. The Deluxe Rooms are large, well maintained, and cost Rs 1680/day. It’s nearby and walkable from new Akluj bus stand. There’s no lift, which is a drawback if you have a lot of luggage, and the water pressure in the washroom is low. Everything else is perfect 👍.

The manager ignored me when I greeted him, even though I was the only guest there and he seemed to have nothing else to do. I got no apology or sign of understanding. The hotel also gives no written or verbal warning that foreigners aren't allowed. A horrible experience. They need to learn basic hospitality, including how to smile and apologize.
