Oyo Apartments Pune Nagar Road

At around 8 PM, after paying Rs 1229 for a discounted deluxe room for my wife, daughter and me, I reached the hotel for our stay from 24.12.2023 night to 11 AM the next day. The receptionist said there was no booking under our name. I tried calling the Police on 100, but couldn't get through because of connectivity issues. The receptionist spoke to his boss, who rudely threatened not to give us a room and told me to seek a refund from OYO or pay another Rs 1000. When I refused, the receptionist also refused rudely. I tried the Police again. After a while, they offered us a particular room with only two beds, or said we could cancel and claim a refund from OYO. Since it was already late and time was passing, we stayed and asked for an extra bed. They first asked for Rs 500, then settled for Rs 250. The room was in a corner. They didn't even offer water. The flush didn't work, and we got one dirty towel. There was no water, glasses, jug or bath mat at the bathroom entrance. Those were the amenities we got for the price. We checked out the next morning around 8:45 AM. The staff, including their boss, were very arrogant. I would never recommend this so-called hotel to anyone. I'm sure OYO will send me a regret email, as that's a common response without any solution. I feel OYO is looting the public in collaboration with hotels like this. I have documentary proof and will be forced to file a consumer case and a police case. I want the Rs 1229 my daughter paid for the booking on 24.12.2023 refunded for the distress caused by OYO and the hotel. The hurt and pain are immense compared with the refund claim, and processing a refund would help hold both OYO and the hotel accountable. My rating for OYO and the hotel is minus 100.

The room was well kept, the bathroom was fine, and the AC's powerchill mode was fantastic. Food from tasty re restaurant was good quality and reasonably priced, but ordering it through the hotel costs more. You can order online, call the number on the menu, or walk 200 mtrs to the restaurant. Service was okay, just a little slow. The location is good. The room was large but dirty, with leftovers from the previous guests still there. The AC wasn't working properly, but since we were staying only 1.5 days, we didn't bother telling management. The restroom was clean and in better shape than the room. The staff were cooperative and behaved well with us. The hotel was easy to spot from a moving vehicle, near the airport in a prime location, though the entrance was cluttered and dirty and the reception was still under construction.

The rooms were clean and spacious, and the location was good. But when I arrived at 10:30 am, the receptionist said check-in was at 12pm and wanted to charge 300 rupees for coming early, even though more than half the rooms were available. There aren't many food choices, though there are restaurants nearby, and the TV wasn't working. It's a decent budget hotel for solo travel, but I wouldn't recommend it to families.
