It’s a new place, with good-sized rooms and the best staff.

I barely slept during this two-day stay. At 3 a.m. the lights in my room stopped switching off, and staff said they’d fix it in the morning. That left me awake with the lights on. Then at 6 a.m. there was no hot water. I was asked to wait 10 minutes, but nobody came even after 30, so I had to leave without showering. It was embarrassing and uncomfortable. The problems started at check-in. My key didn’t work, so each time I needed to get in, I had to go to reception, wait, and bring a staff member with a master key. The in-room phone was dead too, so I couldn’t call reception or housekeeping or order food. For every little thing, I had to go down to the lobby. Those two days were the most stressful hotel stay I’ve had. The service felt completely unresponsive, and I’d never recommend this place. By far the worst hotel experience of my life.

The rooms at The Fern Habitat are spacious and well maintained, and the welcoming lobby and pleasant atmosphere made for a comfortable stay. Highly recommended.

For the weekend price, this place is far too expensive. The room was tiny and cramped, and the bathroom was so compact it felt claustrophobic. The toilet flush didn’t work at check-in, the basin drained slowly, and help came very slowly when we asked. There’s no proper car parking either. Our relaxing weekend turned unsettling and irritating. For what they provide, it’s overpriced, and you can find better places at the same or lower price. I wouldn’t recommend it.
