Sai Palace

For the price and location, the rooms seem fairly priced. Mine was clean and moderately comfortable, with enough supplies, and the hotel covers the basics. I did have to struggle to get batteries for the TV remote, though I don't count that as a major negative. The rooms were reasonably well maintained, so I'd consider coming back. Service was the weaker part. Staff were a bit lazy, and I had to ring the bell several times before an attendant showed up. Room service was almost unavailable since there's no restaurant of their own and food is brought in from elsewhere. There's no Wi-Fi either. Still, at this price, the room was average.

I couldn't have been more disappointed. I stayed at Sai Palace for about 30 minutes, then checked out right away after the unacceptable behaviour of the co-owner and receptionist Shantanu. They abused and harassed us. I called the police and reported the violence at a nearby police station immediately. The police were very helpful and took action against them on the spot. Goibibo also reported the violence and took up the request for strict action against Sai Palace. This is the worst hotel and staff I've ever encountered. It's a shame there's no option to give zero stars. I've stayed in both five-star and one-star hotels, and this was the worst experience I've had. A light is falling down, as you can see in the picture. There are no geysers, just a heater that starts in the morning. The TV hasn't worked for months, which I found out when I asked them to recharge it. There's no doormat outside the washroom, and the room and comforter were dirty. Service was pathetic.

At 2am I was still at reception arguing and showing my booking details because they had given my room to someone else. I'd booked it 15 days earlier, but they had missed the reservation. They asked the current guest to leave and then gave me that room. It looked good and clean, though seeing a cockroach on the floor freaked me out.
