Avanti Kalagram

We celebrated my daughter's birthday here, and they made very nice arrangements for it. The owner and staff were friendly and cooperative, and the food was amazing. We stayed in an AC container with a lake view, which was very nice. The pool was clean, with a lovely nature view, and we had a lot of fun doing pottery and bamboo craft activities. Our stay at Avanti Kalagram was very good. Everyone should visit at least once.

The resort felt overpriced for the condition of the rooms. They and the rest of the property need maintenance and a decent upgrade. Bathrooms were clean but very basic, and the road in was in really bad shape. On weekdays it was nearly deserted, with limited breakfast options. WiFi only worked in the restaurant, and I think only a Jio SIM gets signal. Weekends might be better for enjoying the activities and food. Still, the location and view were mesmerizing, and there's a private waterfall. The food was the highlight, so tasty I can't describe it. There are pottery, glass painting, and bamboo art activities, especially enjoyable with children. Rooms are spacious, beds comfortable, and the manager is a gem. We stayed one weekday night. It's a nice place for a weekend away from social media and pollution.

Booking through an online site was fine, and the place itself is lovely, close to nature. The rooms and food were good, and the staff were helpful. The difficulty was getting directions. The booking site didn't provide a contact number for the manager, and when we got lost using Google Maps, the person we called couldn't guide us. Once a booking is confirmed, they should share the resort manager's number in case guests have trouble finding the place.

The food was great and felt homely, and the cooking area was hygienic. I also enjoyed the pottery and bamboo art workshops, which were unique and engaging. Bottle art would be even more fun if guests could try it hands-on. There are lots of games in the indoor area, though it could be cleaner, and the pool water didn't feel pristine at first. The container rooms are a little small but comfortable, and bathroom and toilet cleanliness could be better. The resort has a pleasant vibe and amazing views from its hilltop location, so take care while exploring. A lovely break from the city hustle and bustle.
