I wouldn’t recommend Magnus Hotel. My stay was uncomfortable, and the place fell short on cleanliness, hygiene, food safety, and basic hospitality. There were cockroaches in the room, bathroom, and even coming through the open, unfiltered basin drain. The room smelled awful, and the lights were dim, faulty, and hard to control. The kettle had visible stains inside. In the bathroom, the soap and shampoo were worse than basic lodge quality, and the flimsy door made me afraid to touch it. The chicken curry I had to order from the hotel, since outside food wasn’t allowed in the room, had so much artificial colour that it stained my tongue and nails. It left me with serious concerns about food safety and hygiene. The kitchen fridge was empty and made loud noises all day. Staff made check-in unpleasant too. They kept me waiting nearly 15 minutes for no valid reason, then handed me a key and floor number without helping me find the room. There was loud noise outside until about 2 AM, apparently from staff, with no effort to keep things quiet. At checkout, I was told to wait “2 minutes.” Nobody acknowledged me, and after almost 15 minutes I asked again and was casually told I could leave. The staff’s attitude felt rude and careless throughout.

Over my 14-day stay, the rooms were luxurious and cleaned daily, and I really enjoyed the north and south Indian dishes at breakfast. Mahesh, Punam, Limai, and the rest of the staff were friendly and helpful. I had a great stay and would recommend the place 🙂

We experienced throat irritation and other health issues after being put in a room connected to another one where pest control had been carried out. We were never told about the treatment, and chemical fumes may have entered our room. This could have been avoided with clear communication. Guests shouldn’t be assigned rooms near chemical treatment without warning, and the management’s lack of concern was frustrating. I strongly advise checking the room’s condition before checking in.

Cockroaches were all over the rooms, and other reviews make it seem like this keeps happening. Some staff were disrespectful, though two kind people did listen to me. Very disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

I booked a room at Magnus Star Residency, Koregaon Park, Pune, Maharashtra, for a night wedding reception at Koregaon Park Anex, Pune, on 21/12/2025. The hotel was clean and well maintained, with polite receptionists, good staff, and helpful, cooperative housekeeping. Security was well mannered. Parking space for vehicles was limited. Sure to enjoy.
