Townhouse MG Road Pune

The room was so filthy and full of cockroaches and insects that we couldn't stay. After a long argument, we got a refund. Staff even warn you to inspect the room before checking in, as if they know guests won't stay once they see its condition. Don't trust the pictures online. Most seem fake, or possibly decades old from when the hotel first opened. Don't visit this place.

I was taken in by the Agoda photos and ended up staying for two days despite having paid for the booking. The reception didn't seem bothered when I raised all the problems. There were cockroaches everywhere, dirty sheets and pillows, broken AC units and door knobs, and dirty washrooms with broken taps and towel holders. We had no hot water or room freshener, and there was a damp wall. Housekeeping wasn't available on time, and the staff at this company serviced hotel seemed untrained. The location is right in the city, about 1.5 kms from Railway Junction and 3 kms from AFMC. Taboot Street is nearby, with around 10 pure veg pushcart food vendors and 10 pure veg restaurants, all called Sri Krishna. The food there is yummy, including the soya Chaaps and Pizza outlets of Sri Krishna. The hotel itself was another story. There were cockroaches everywhere, no taps in the bathroom, and the A/C had no remote because it was centrally controlled at reception, where it could suddenly be reduced to 18 degrees. There's no restaurant, room service or WiFi. No room freshener either, and nobody swept under the bed after the previous guest left. The wooden floorboards were loose enough to make you slip.

The bathroom tiles were broken, the sheets were dirty, and the rooms had cockroaches. When I complained, the receptionist didn't care at all. His attitude made it seem like he owned the place. A third class room, don't ever book this hotel.
