It’s a calm, peaceful place with decent rooms, comfortable bedding, and cozy surroundings. The menu is limited, but the food is good and the staff are good too. Internet network is out, and the rooms are small. It’s an approachable budget hotel near major locations, fine for a decent stay.

There’s food available from the in-house kitchen at very reasonable prices, though there’s no restaurant. The breakfast spread isn’t big, but for 1200 bucks I wasn’t expecting much. The room was clean and large enough, with a tea and coffee maker, toiletries, and a clean bathroom. I liked the experience and would definitely come back.

Prime location and very good staff. The buffet breakfast is limited, but tastes very good. Room service has limited food choices too, though the taste and quality are nicely maintained and the prices are very reasonable. The rooms are good. If you want a stay that’s worth the money, this is the place.

The leafy neighborhood was nice, and the food was homely and tasty. The cook was awesome, especially with fluffy phulkas and yummy chicken curry. Pretty much everything else was a disaster. The room hadn’t been swept or mopped. The sheets, pillow cover, duvet, and towels were soiled. When I asked for replacements, they brought “Fresh” ones from another room that were even worse. The “Manager” said the laundry wasn’t working, so there was no fresh linen. I took it to customer care, and half an hour later they came back with an offer of an additional 20% discount, which I rejected. The toilet flooded because the drain was higher up. Cable TV didn’t work because the subscription hadn’t been paid, and the wifi wouldn’t connect. The staff didn’t speak any language besides Hindi and weren’t trained or aware of what guest service means. I felt bad for them because they were taking the flak for things outside their control. My stay taught me to choose a proper hotel even if the commute is longer and to avoid online room aggregators like Treebo, FAB Hotel, and OYO. They may be good at developing software, but they don’t know the industry. Room aggregation isn’t the same as cab aggregation. Treebo group confirmed my belief about IIM grads: high on gloss, low on content. If you can’t provide better service, bribe your way out. And don’t trust the photos or five star reviews on the website.

We stayed here the night of Jan 15 after the cricket match in Pune. It’s tucked into a quiet, leafy lane off Baner Road. The room was small, but good enough if you only need a place to sleep, and we slept well. The bathrooms were clean, though a bit cramped. Breakfast is served to order from a few items in the coffee room on the terrace.
