Golden Tree

Getting to the ocean was easy at this hotel near Puri Beach, and we could enjoy the sea breeze whenever we liked. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, making for a relaxing stay. Staff were polite and responsive, and the service was very good. I especially liked the in-room dining, with quick delivery and great food. Breakfast had good variety and tasted good too. A great option for comfort, service, and a beachside location.

We'd stayed here several times over the past few years, and the proximity to both the beach and temple used to make it our regular hotel in Puri. But our latest stay, May 9th-11th, was disappointing. The restaurant prices have risen well above the area average, without the service you'd expect at those prices. Staff were unprofessional, inattentive, and sometimes didn't respond at all. Basic courtesy was missing, with no smiles or politeness. It felt as if they were doing us a favor, rather than serving paying guests. They brought all the dishes at once, while my parents and the rest of my family were still waiting for water and starters. The waiters seemed distracted by other work and paid little attention to guests. The poor service and inflated prices have made this poor value for money. Management needs to address the problems and bring service standards in line with the prices. Unfortunately, this will be our last stay. Other hotels along this stretch of Puri offer much better service and value.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Golden Tree, Puri. The calm, family-friendly atmosphere and views made it a great place to stay, with comfortable, neat, well-kept rooms and warm, helpful staff. Food was tasty and came in a good variety, and we felt it was good value with great service. The hotel is conveniently located a short distance from Puri Beach and Jagannath Temple. One suggestion: please consider extending checkout time to suit guests' train schedules, especially since many travel by Vande Bharat. All in all, a great stay with quality service. 👍🏻😊

The travel desk was a disappointment. We booked a Chilka Lake trip there, but the woman gave us misleading information about the timing and what places we would see. On the other hand, the breakfast buffet had lots of variety, the restaurant food was very tasty, and there was plenty of parking within the hotel grounds. The room service area could use some improvement. Front desk staff were smiling and cooperative, especially Mr. Ghosh, who welcomed us and gave us a nice gift hamper at checkout. Check-in is at 8.00AM and checkout at 10.00AM, but they let us stay until 9.00 AM on checkout day without us asking. From the hotel, Konarak Sun Temple is about an hour away and Chilka Lake about an hour and a half. We had a very happy stay and felt it was good value for money.
