Ocean Delight

Neeladri beach is only a 2-3 minute walk away, and both Puri jagannath mandir and Puri railway station are about 2-3 km from the hotel. We stayed in a good ground-floor room. It was neat and clean, the staff were good, and service was fine. The main drawback was the tiny geyser. I’d suggest the management install a larger one or a storage water heater, which would work better for families. An auto to Puri jagannath mandir costs ₹100-150, but it may leave you about 1 km from the temple, so you’ll need to walk. Check before getting in, or take a small auto or battery auto that gets you closer.

The caretaker and chef, Mr Vishwajeet Mondal, cooks excellent food and serves it hot and freshly made on the premises. The host is very friendly and always willing to help. It’s an excellent place to stay, with all the basic amenities.

The hotel is conveniently located for reaching nearby attractions, and the basic amenities were available without hassle. For the price, the facilities were decent. We found the rooms clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the peaceful atmosphere worked well for both a short or longer trip. The staff were polite, helpful, and welcoming, always ready to assist with a smile. A comfortable, budget-friendly stay with good hospitality and value for money.

The bathrooms were poor, some lights didn’t work, and the doors didn’t feel safe. It felt like a waste of money. The staff ask guests for good reviews, so don’t trust the positive ones. The biggest mistake was booking a car through the hotel. The driver was terrible. They first said everything was included, then kept asking us to pay for this and that. When we said we’d paid less than the amount they wanted, he said it was our mistake and our responsibility. Don’t book a cab or car service with them, total scam, looting.
