Q Saina Aarokan Heights

The breakfast buffet was the highlight for us. There was plenty to choose from, including real juice, tea and coffee, fresh fruit, Poha, Dosa, Idli, Sambhar, aloo pakore, Poori with Chana Dal, Veg Sandwiches, and Seera. It was all fresh and tasty. Dinner was good too, especially the Dum Aloo, and Dal Tadka and Kadhai Paneer are worth trying. Qsaina is a short, easy walk from the beach. The rooms were spacious and well maintained, there's a lift, and staff were generally polite and professional. Check-in was very quick, but they are strict about documentation: every guest needs an Aadhar card at check-in. A couple of things brought the dining experience down. Chapati (Phulka) cost 50 per piece, which felt overpriced and not worth it. The basement restaurant also has a strict cutoff, closing at 10:00 AM and taking last orders for other meals at 10:15 AM. Once the limit had passed, staff wouldn't serve even one more Chapati, which felt unwelcoming when we were staying at the hotel.

The balcony was lovely, and we could see the sea waves from the bed. The room itself was smaller than the pictures on MMT suggested. Service needs a lot of work: the staff were unprofessional and slow, and the running kitchen seemed to move at a turtle's pace. The complimentary breakfast was cold and tasteless. The daytime security guard was the bright spot, very responsible and friendly.

The sea is wonderfully close, and we found good value by booking through Goibibo. Reception quoted ₹5000 per night for a sea-view room, but we got a substantial discount through the app. We booked both a sea-view room and a twin non-sea-view room. The upgrade was worth it for the view and the noticeably larger space. For three-person rooms, the extra mattress was better quality than at many other hotels. We enjoyed the breakfast plan. The food was good and purely vegetarian, with decent variety and a menu that changed on alternate days. Although the hotel is strictly vegetarian, they were flexible about outside food and let us order freely through Zomato and other delivery apps. The rooftop pool was pleasant for a quick dip, though fairly short and nothing spectacular. I noticed construction for a sea-view bar on the roof, which I think will be a great addition when complete. Maintenance problems took away from an otherwise great family stay at Q Saina Aarokan Heights Puri. Bathrooms on the second floor flooded with water every time they were used, apparently due to poor construction. We called reception several times, but the problem was never permanently fixed during our stay. That was very disappointing and frankly unacceptable. Also, the AC in our sea-view Room 306 wasn't working properly. Management needs to address those second-floor construction and maintenance flaws and make sure amenities like the AC work. The poor response to the problems really hurt the experience.

I came from Chandigarh and spent two days here. The staff were very nice, and I really liked the food, which is completely pure vegetarian. The hotel is right in front of Marine Drive, and my room had an ocean view. Everything about the stay was excellent.
