The room faced a cemetery where bodies were being cremated, and smoke kept coming inside. It was hard to breathe and very uncomfortable, especially for anyone with health problems. We hadn’t been warned about this, which made the situation distressing and felt physically unsafe. On top of that, housekeeping staff member Mithun was rude and unprofessional. The response felt dismissive and careless instead of helpful, adding to an already frustrating stay at Sea Dream Lodge, Jagannath Puri.

We didn’t expect this level of service for the price. The bathroom was dirty and smelled awful, and the sheets and pillows were dirty too. Someone had burned a cigarette hole in the sheets. There was hardly any network signal in the room, and although the booking showed free Wi-Fi, there wasn’t a Wi-Fi network at all. The lodge is directly opposite Swargadwar, in front of Samsan Ghat. This was my worst experience so far. Keep it as a last option.

At 6 in the morning, hotel staff kept knocking on our door and made us check out. The owner’s behavior was the worst. The AC didn’t work until midnight. The owner turned it on after 1 am, then switched it off at 5:30 am.

The location really wasn’t good, and the service was poor too. This was nothing like a pleasant place to stay. 👎📍

There was little to no network signal, especially in the ground floor room, and the door was broken. The bathroom was dirty and smelled really bad. The bedsheets weren’t clean, and neither were the pillows. For what it costs, you shouldn’t expect much in the way of facilities, but basic cleanliness should be there whatever the fare. This lodge is directly opposite Swargadwar Samsan Ghat. Keep it as a last option.
