The price didn’t feel justified. Hot water for showers wasn’t available after 7 am when lots of rooms were occupied, and the towels and blankets didn’t seem well looked after. The room itself fell short, and room service needs improvement. Food tasted decent, though it was quite oily. Overall, just an average hotel.

Ms. Puja Maharana at reception was especially welcoming and helpful, and the staff were courteous throughout my stay. Breakfast was clean and good quality. Check-in went smoothly, and the service overall was seamless. My room was clean, well maintained, and had good amenities. I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Shakti International and would gladly recommend it.

For peak season in November, the stay was acceptable for the price, though I’d hoped to find a better hotel for less. I booked about a month ahead through MakeMyTrip at around ₹3,200 a night, including breakfast. The VIP Road area is decent and standard. The staff were helpful, breakfast was decent, and the AC worked well. Towels were changed on day two, and basic toiletries were provided. There was a slight smell around the corridor and reception. In the room, the mattresses had visible stains, and the commode looked a little yellow. Its drainage also wasn’t forceful enough. The bathroom cleanliness and upkeep need work.

Autos are easy to get right outside, and most places cost around ₹100-₹150 to reach. Panthanivas, the starting point for the OTDC tour, is about 200 meters away. The hotel is on VIP Road, around 200 meters from the Blue Flag beach and roughly 2 km from the railway station, Golden Beach, and Jagannath Temple. I spent four nights here in November and felt it was good for the price. The property was clean, the rooms spacious, and the food was excellent and worth the money.
