The staff were very amicable, and the restaurant team were excellent, always smiling and happy to help with a specific dish. The food was good, though the South Indian breakfast could be improved. Our third-floor room faced the sea, with a clear view of the beach, and there’s a lovely walking stretch beside the hotel and beach. The location is excellent, right by the beach. The room was generally clean, but the bed linen and towels need improvement, perhaps replacing more often, since continuous laundering doesn’t help. In our Deluxe room, the toilet and washbasin were a bit stained. The glycerine soaps were slippery, and the soaps could be better. Many hotels nowadays have soap and shampoo dispensers. Overall, it was a reasonably good experience.

The food was good, and I enjoyed both the included breakfast and the tasty à la carte dinner I ordered. The hotel is near the beach and 2 km from the temple. My stay at Vijoya international was very, very pleasant, with helpful and humble staff. I’ll definitely recommend staying here.

The food and service were good, and the room was okay, but the bathroom needs an upgrade and a thorough cleaning. The linen was in poor condition. I also had a serious problem with someone in the lobby, Sri Madam Mohan Pratihari, who was presented as an authorized hotel panda. We hired him to buy a Dhorza (flag) and arrange a close Darshan. I paid him 2100 for the flag, and he was meant to give me a receipt for my tax return. Despite asking repeatedly, I never got one. He also failed to arrange the close Darshan, even though I paid him 2000. Later, my sister got one for just 100. He was also supposed to bring an old Dharzza as a blessing the next morning for a fee of 300, before we left, but he didn't show up. I don't think guests can rely on him. Hotel management should look into this and try to send me the receipt. Guests should be careful about trusting him. Mrs. Bibi Dhar

The private beach access was the best part for me. The beach and garden were very clean, and you can watch the sunrise and sunset there. The location is acceptable, and the building is large, but it needs a full refurbishment. The rooms are spacious but old, with linen that has gone grey and looks dirty. The bathroom has hot water and enough space, though the towels are worn and stained. The floor gets slippery, and with no separation between the toilet and shower, the whole room gets wet. Toiletries are available only if you ask, though tea and coffee facilities are provided. Housekeeping and kitchen staff were courteous, but the kitchen team needs training. The red reception sofa has turned black and needs new fabric. The rooms and linen don't deserve a star, though the space and size would get four. I'd rate the hotel at one or two stars, but the beach gets four.
