The washrooms were filthy and full of hair, and I didn't feel safe using them. There was no sanitization, so after visiting OYO 12964 I'm thinking of quarantining myself. Basic needs weren't covered either: no water or light, no lift, and no latch on the toilet doors. They charge Rs 3000 a night, but honestly the room isn't worth Rs 100. The same guy who works at Cafe ladder below the rooms maintains the hotel. I complained that our room had no light, and he disappeared. Nobody was available even at checkout. This is the worst hotel I've seen so far. I'd recommend cancelling your plans if you can't find any other accommodation. I'd give it a negative rating, minus 5.

We were kept waiting in the lobby for an hour and a half while the owner and manager called OYO Rooms to check whether they could let us in. They wouldn't even allow us to use the bathroom before getting confirmation, as if they didn't trust us. Once we finally got to the room, the whole place smelled rotten. Opening the fridge nearly made me throw up. When I complained, they said they'd cleaned just before our arrival, so the smell must have been phenyl. A horrible stay and host.

You can see the hills nicely from the room, and the staff were kind and helpful. The rooms were okay, though the furniture was poor quality. It's close to the Wayanad entrance gate and viewpoint, and there's a Cafe coffee Day in the same building.

There were a few power cuts, and reception felt pretty disorganized. Still, by Indian standards, it was a very good stay.

The rooms are bad, and the staff don't know how to treat customers. The customer service is really poor. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
