Hotel Bharatpur Palace

The rooms were spacious and lovely, with beautiful views over Pushkar Lake that made it easy to relax. Lunch was very good too. We found the location convenient, close to everything while still feeling peaceful. The staff were kind and attentive throughout, and made us feel welcome from our first day. We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Bharatpur and would recommend it to anyone visiting Pushkar.

From the terrace at Bharatpur Palace, you can watch the aartis and devotees coming and going at Pushkar’s sacred lake. It’s a peaceful place to spend time, as well as a comfortable place to sleep, with spacious, beautiful rooms. Dilit and Meena were kind, excellent hosts who were always available. They also offer yoga, cooking classes, and massages. The chef makes excellent food fresh, and the dishes are exquisite. We highly recommend staying here.

The staff were nice and helpful, and the rooms were reasonably clean. It’s a good place to stay if you want to be by the lake. It was quieter than another lakeside hotel I stayed at the week before, though there’s naturally some noise there. You can also enter another way if you’d rather not walk past the public urinals. The main market street is right nearby, as is my favorite little coffee spot, Honey Dew Cafe. The hotel has a pleasant vibe, with guests from lots of different places and plenty of spots to relax. I got a meal from the restaurant one evening and took it up to my room. The fries were really good, but the dessert was too sweet for me to finish. Prices were pretty reasonable for a lakeside stay with my own bathroom. I do wish the bathroom had been cleaner when I arrived and had a water sprayer, though it was still fine. The power seemed to go out every day, but maybe that’s just a Pushkar thing. There’s also a cat and five kittens living at the hotel, and they were so sweet to watch every day. I had an amazing stay right by Pushkar Lake. The rooms were as described and big enough, and the staff were kind and very helpful. You can see people at the ghats from the large common areas facing the lake. The atmosphere felt sacred. They also offer cooking classes and several other activities.
