This family run hotel made us feel right at home. We paid extra for a balcony, but there are plenty of open, shaded places to sit inside, so that upgrade wasn’t necessary for us. It’s just off the main roads, near some great local shops and restaurants. Being close to a main road does mean some morning noise.

The hotel is very central, close to both the lake and the city center, and the price was great for what we got. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were genuinely welcoming and helped with everything. They even lent us a hairdryer and yoga mat. We chose one of the better rooms on the second floor and were very happy with it. It was spotless, the bathroom was modern, and the bed had an unusually thick, comfortable mattress for India. The cheaper rooms are darker and less well equipped, so I’d suggest paying for a better category. Best hotel of our whole trip to India.

The family live downstairs and are so kind and helpful. My room was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was very good, with plenty of hot water. I first stayed here 13 years ago and it was great then. It’s even better now.

The family running Hotel Rising Star, Pushkar, make you feel like a guest in their home. We stayed a week, extended our time in Pushkar, and still didn’t want to leave. It has a genuinely warm, comfortable atmosphere. Their evening puja with singing is beautiful and brings a peaceful, special feeling to the stay. Chintu was friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. Even when we knocked after 10 pm because we arrived late, someone opened the door with a smile, even if they’d been resting. The traditional Rajasthani design is lovely, fancy but still warm and homely, and the place is very clean. Highly recommended if you want comfort and an authentic, welcoming stay in Pushkar.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and our room was clean, looked great, and had a nice bathroom and plenty of power outlets. We had a wonderful stay here. I’d definitely recommend this place if you’re visiting Pushkar. Safe travels! (Tuur, 25 years old, The Netherlands)
