We saw more than 50 bird species in a single day during my two birding outings with Ramesh. He knows his birds exceptionally well, is passionate about them, and seems to have a sixth sense for spotting rarer species by sight or sound. There are plenty of birds around the resort throughout the day. Nature’s Nest is a must for birdwatchers visiting Goa. It sits near the Karnataka border, well away from North Goa’s crowds and noise, on a large estate with a plantation, forest, pool, and a small watering hole. My family and I stayed in Superior Forest Cottages and chose the Wilderness and Waterfall package. The cottages are rustic but very clean, and the surprisingly good air-conditioning was welcome on hot afternoons. Meals were included, and we enjoyed the range of local dishes. We also liked chatting with Bhakti at reception and the friendly serving and kitchen staff. The package activities were all enjoyable. Prasad led the plantation walk and taught us to recognise plants by sight and smell. Kartik took us on a sunset trail walk and morning nature walks, where he helped me hear the differences between barbets. On the night safari with Mihirjoy, we spotted flying squirrels, civet cats, golden jackals, black-naped hare, and several kinds of snakes. We also visited Dudhsagar Falls nearby. The round trip takes about four hours, including around 1.5 hours at the falls. The staff were all very helpful, and I especially appreciated their care for my elderly parents. I’m grateful to Abhijeet and everyone mentioned above, and hope to visit again.

The naturalists Jay, Prasad, Ashwita, and Bhakti were enthusiastic about their work and made sure we had chances to see wonderful birds and wildlife. Chef Nagesh deserves thanks too, the food he cooked was amazing. Natures Nest gave us a side of Goa we hadn’t explored before. In the Bhagwaan Mahavir wild life sanctuary, it’s surrounded by forest, freshwater streams, and beautiful flora and fauna. The cottages are rustic, clean, and lovely, and the restaurant serves tasty, healthy food made with their own produce. It was an unforgettable stay and a must for nature lovers wanting to discover another side of Goa.

We saw 38 bird species on the half-day birdwatching safari, and the resort also arranged our trip to Dudhsagar waterfalls. We were the first to arrive there. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and nothing seemed too much trouble. It’s a peaceful, lovely place for anyone who loves nature. We had a wonderful time and will definitely return and recommend it to friends.

I spent three nights and four days here, and the location was great. The cottages look like cute village houses and have all the necessary facilities. You can spot all sorts of Western Ghats birds even on the property itself, so the resort’s name really fits. The night jungle safari was fantastic: we saw a bison, flying squirrel, scorpion, a big spider, and lots more. The staff are very good, and even the simplest food is delicious. Memories for life.

The jungle safari was the highlight. We were lucky to spot most of the animals, and our knowledgeable guide explained everything clearly, making it even more interesting. Nature’s Nest Resort is peaceful and tucked among forests, hills, and lush greenery, away from city crowds. The rooms were clean and comfortable, fitting in nicely with the natural surroundings. Waking to birdsong and fresh forest air was wonderful. We also ate well, with tasty, fresh food and a good variety, and the polite, helpful staff made sure we were comfortable throughout. A lovely choice for a quiet getaway close to nature, with some adventure too.
