Hotel Chhattisgarh Inn

The room I got was 101, and unlike the complaints I’d heard about a smelly toilet, I found it comfortable, cozy, and odor-free. I was in Raipur on an official tour, and the hospitality was top class. My train was four hours late, but they still sent a cab to the railway station at 11pm. When I arrived around 11:15, they served me a hot, tasty dinner. Their tea was very good too. The staff and reception guy helped with almost everything, from getting me toothpaste at 7 in the morning to printing a bunch of color copies of my documents. Recommended.

I stayed for almost 50 days on office deputation, and they seemed to take long-term guests for granted. The housekeeping was bad for the first few days. They didn’t change the sheets or towels, and I had to shout every day to get the room cleaned. Sometimes the sheets and towels they brought were torn. I also got ill after eating their food. The cooking medium wasn’t good, and I have doubts about the kitchen hygiene. The waiters who came for room service weren’t cleanly dressed and stank. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. Cheap price, cheap service.

Room service was good, and the hotel staff were cooperative and nice. The room and bathroom were neat and clean, but the AC didn’t cool properly. I’d give the room 4 and a half stars out of 5, cutting half a star for the AC.

The rooms and room service were good. There was one problem, though: a foul toilet smell lingered even after they cleaned it several times and sprayed room freshener. Check the toilets.
