Hotel Bodhi Retreat

The buffet breakfast had a very good spread and the price was right. The whole hotel, including the rooms, was extremely neat and clean. Staff were helpful and greeted us with friendly smiles, especially Miss Rosy Parvin, Miss Jyoti, Ritu, Alfaz. There's plenty of parking, the location is spot on, and the restaurant is beautifully decorated with lots of food choices, all quite good. The rooms are a good size and have all the amenities. Book it and you'll love the experience.

The food was fresh and delicious, and the staff were humble, friendly, and nice. The restaurant is on The top floor, surrounded by mountains and trees, which makes it a lovely spot for photos shoot. If you like peace, mountains, plants, food, opend space, and a neat, clean floor under the open sky, it's a must visit in Rajgir.

I stayed in 315 from 21-24 Dec. 2025, and it was the worst experience I've had at a 3star hotel. The room smelled as if it had been shut for months, especially the closet, and I had to ask for room spray. There was no moisturizer/body lotion in their toiletteries, even in winter, and after the first day there was no hot water from the tap. The landline didn't work for my whole stay. Around 10.30, I asked the room service guy bringing dinner to refill the water bottles right away, but he forgot. With the phone out, I had to go to Reception around 11.30 to ask. On the first night the paneer gravy was basically oil with gravy in it, though the food improved after that. The staff were well-behaved, especially the lady on evening shift. When I asked for a seperate blanket because I was catching cold, she kindly arranged a heat blower.

My stay at Bodhi Retreat was disappointing. Compared with earlier visits, the service has gone downhill. The rooms were dirty and poorly maintained, and the lack of cleanliness made things uncomfortable. Staff weren't as helpful or responsive as I expected, and even basic problems took a long time to sort out. I was especially saddened to hear that Mr. Shishir no longer works there. His professionalism, warm manner, and dedication to guests were a big part of my good experiences before, and the change since he left is easy to feel. If Mr. Shishir works at another hotel in Rajgir, I'd choose to stay there in future. His hospitality is reliable and commendable.
