Platinum Hotel

We'd driven from Morbi and used the washrooms before having lunch in the ground-floor dining area at Hotel Platinum. Everything was very clean and hygienic. There was a wedding or engagement event happening at the hotel, but the serving staff still hosted us cheerfully and were genuinely pleasant and helpful. The vegetarian buffet had a lovely range: fritters or fryums, salad that was a bit too salty, undhiyoo, raswala bateka, kabuli channa, dal, and kadhi. For dessert there was kalakand and rabdi. It was a great experience.

My wife and I ate at platinum hotel, and the food was the worst I could have expected. We both ended up with upset stomachs and diarrhea. I'm glad I hadn't given any of it to my two-year-old. I won't eat at platinum hotel again.

We had a terrible night at the hotel. The room had no ceiling fan, and its AC wasn't working. We complained to the front desk several times, but nothing was done. At midnight they told us to change rooms, and management took no responsibility for the disruption. Then at checkout they insisted we leave by 10 AM, without even apologizing for the night's problems. I hope Goibibo takes notice and reviews its listings. Otherwise, people may be misled by bogus reviews.

The washroom door in my father's room came off, and the maintenance team only made a temporary repair. It failed again the next morning. We also had a frustrating time getting an extra mattress: first it was put on a wooden base that was too small, then they tried stacking two mattresses before finally bringing a proper bed base. Our first room's AC didn't work either, and it took about 30 minutes of back-and-forth to move us. This was a very troublesome family stay, and I wouldn't recommend the hotel unless it gets significant repairs.
