Mountainmist Residency

The cottages were clean and cozy, with lovely natural views all around, and we were greeted warmly when we arrived at Mountainmist Holidays in Ramakkalmedu. The staff did a lot to make the stay comfortable. We had delicious fresh food with a good choice of local dishes. The jeep rides off road were a real thrill through the scenery, and the evening campfire made things feel relaxed and fun. There’s trekking too, or you can just sit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

The staff were polite, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the price seemed reasonable. It was easy to get to the tourist spots from this location. There’s no restaurant inside the cottage, though nearby hotels are just a short walk away. They can arrange food if you order ahead, but I didn’t enjoy the taste.

The rooms were okay, but we weren't given water and when we asked, they told us to buy it. They said they could arrange food, and what we ate was just passable, but some friends found insects in theirs. It was our first time in ramakkalmedu, and this was the worst part of the visit.

The cottages have a nice atmosphere and the price felt fair, but the eco friendly setting doesn't make up for poor upkeep. There was dust and dirt everywhere, and the room service was terrible and irritating. They need staff who are better trained in how to treat and speak to customers.
