We booked five rooms for our big family group, and they gave us rooms that suited us. From the hill facing rooms, the thick morning mist over the hill is a view to remember. The place is well maintained, in a good location, with tasty food and great hospitality. We had a lively musical campfire that went on until midnight. Thanks to the staff, and to Mrs.Mini for making our stay comfortable. A memorable time.

The buffet lunch and dinner had a great mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, plus desserts, and it was delicious. The rooms are roomy and look luxurious. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and it really felt homely. A beautiful, picturesque resort with wonderful hospitality.

The Wi-Fi password didn't work for us either, as in Ms. Lavyana's review. Before we checked in, two families were already staying there, and we saw two cockroaches and three earthworms. We were put in two odd-looking rooms with a 16-inch laptop screen that seemed like a showpiece, since it had no channels. The rooms and corridor were gloomy and dark, the food was bad, and the hotel is far from thekkday, about an hour and 45 minutes away. This isn't a 4 star hotel, despite the stars and Google ratings, which I think are fake. The menu in the room was seven years old and showed 2012 prices, but the bill was three times the printed rate. We ordered dal makani, but she changed the order without asking. We asked for two teas and got two coffees instead. The food was crap. This felt like a cheap trick by ms mini and our travel agent. She argued all the time. The manager is a literal psycho. Don't even think of staying there, or you'll bear the consequences. Ms. Lavyana's review is very true.

The hotel is right at the last junction you can reach by car, a great spot. From there, you can walk up one hill, or drive to the other hill and back. Rooms and staff were good, but there were no toiletries or towels. Dinner had to be ordered ahead. I had chapati and chicken curry, and it was delicious.

We went in March 2016, when it was cooler and windy. Wind Haven resort sits at the foothills of Kuravan and Ramakkal mount, and its rooms were very clean with excellent service. Choose the sunrise suits for a view of the sun coming up through the mountains. Private buses can get you there, but having your own transport is best for visiting nearby places. Ramakkal is great for hills, forests, and adventure, with lots of mountains to trek and unexplored forest to discover. Don't miss the jeep safari to the turtle rock, and plan your Top station trek for the evening. Give yourself at least two days to see all of Ramakkal.
