Chanakya BNR Hotel

The location near the railway station was handy, and Chanakya BNR Hotel felt comfortable for our stay. The rooms were spacious, clean, and looked after well. Staff were professional, polite, and quick to help, while breakfast had good quality and a decent range of options. I liked the peaceful heritage atmosphere too. A good choice for families, business travel, or events in Ranchi.

Chanakya BNR is right by the railway station and very close to the airport, which made getting around easy. The old architectural style gives the property a vintage, almost colonial look, while inside the rooms are large, bright, and equipped with modern amenities. They’re decorated in a way that keeps some classic character, and the layout feels peaceful. The staff were attentive, polite, and helpful, with a kind of traditional government-style hospitality brought up to date. We also enjoyed the restaurant: there’s a good mix of Indian and continental food, and you can sit either outdoors or in the cozy indoor area. The whole stay felt comfortable, with the heritage charm balanced by modern convenience. I’d recommend it to business and leisure travelers looking for a pleasant stay in Ranchi.

The rooms were good, and the location is convenient for both the airport and railway station. But the food was pathetic in my view, and everyone in my family had health issues after eating here. Be careful about what you order. They need to pay much more attention to detail if they want to live up to a five-star resort. Otherwise, it was fine.

I was at Chanakya BNR in Ranchi for a Women in Mining Safety Conclave. The place looked elegant and all white, and the ambience suited a formal conference really well.
