The rooms were clean and the staff very helpful, and ordering food online is easy even though there’s no kitchen. The lack of a lift makes the place inaccessible for people using wheelchairs. Getting here once the market opens can be difficult because of the crowds. Still, it’s a good place overall.
I only used the room to bathe while accompanying a relative at the hospital overnight, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The room and building look new and clean at first, but there’s no proper upkeep. OYO signs are up, yet it couldn’t be booked through OYO. I walked in, and the receptionist in formal clothes kindly showed me options. Of the four rooms, only one was clean enough for me to choose. It seemed like the hotel wasn’t operating properly: the AC was off at the main controller, and the water pressure was so poor it took 15 minutes to fill a standard bucket. The linen was stained, torn, and had hair on it. There were no amenities, not even a 3 rs soap, and the towel was stained and felt like a cleaning rag. It’s more of a lodge than a hotel, with a sofa lobby but no visible reception. Awful experience.
Check-in took about 2 hour, and the staff were uncooperative and annoying. They took my phone to check the order ID and give themselves a 5 star rating. Some rooms have geysers and some don’t. There’s no restaurant in the hotel, but one next door, and food can also be ordered through swiggy or zomato. The room was okay for space, but my blanket had holes, the TV had no cable connection, and the walls had seepage. Only book if you have no other option.
The room itself was okay, but there were no guest toiletries, bucket, or mug, and the western toilet was really dirty. There’s no backup power. During my 3 hrs there, the electricity went out twice for 15-20mins. Honestly, OYO has let its standards slip.
We booked three rooms for two nights under OYO booking id FOX22943, and my wife and sister found cockroaches in two of them. The Wi-Fi signal in the rooms was weak and kept cutting out. At checkout, nobody came to help take our luggage to the car. There’s no restaurant, and the staff didn’t even seem willing to bring a cup of tea. For meals, you’ll need a taxi to reach a decent restaurant at least a kilometer away, or you can order from Zomato or Swiggy. I don’t even know whether they provide plates and dishes. We were celebrating our Anniversary, and my family ended up blaming me for booking this place. Be ready to go to a tea stall for tea. That horrible stay will stay with us.
