Hotel Richmond Hills

A mess, and not worth even Rs.1000/- a night. The TV didn’t work, there were flies, it was unclean, and there wasn’t enough staff. Even after charging 6000K, they didn’t provide complimentary water. We had to pay for bottles that were never delivered, then asked for the charge to be written off at checkout. We were 4 adults+ 1 kid in a family room with only one bathroom, though we’d been told there would be two. The owner’s response to this feedback surprised me with its lies. He wrote 7 guests, must be sick. Don’t spoil your holiday by staying here. It’s not worth the amount charged.

The balcony view was the one good thing. None of the electrical appliances worked, the staff were rude and insufficient, and the hospitality was below 1 star. A very bad hotel and a waste of money. Don’t go.

The rooms were kept clean and are very spacious, and the staff, though far too few, were very helpful. But the place is hard to find because Google Maps marks it incorrectly. It’s very basic and grossly overpriced. We booked 2 super deluxe rooms, but they had no attached bathrooms. There’s a huge dining area, though one room had no ventilation. There are no telephones in the rooms, and the room service bells just keep ringing.

The resort was clean and lovely, and I had a great experience with the staff. Ranikhet’s pleasant weather and the beauty of nature around the resort made the stay special.
