Laj Regency Hotel

I found a plastic wire in the sahi paneer I ordered with roti during my one day stay. When I objected, a man at reception abused me, came into my room, recorded a video, and warned me he'd make it viral. The rooms aren't clean and the rates are very high. I ask everyone to avoid this kind of fraud. 😥😥😥

The hotel is near the station, but there are other hotels close by, so I can't recommend this one. The staff service was the worst I've experienced. Food took over an hour, and some buttons weren't working because of a connection issue. I've travelled to many places and haven't seen things this bad anywhere.

For a short, budget stay, the hotel has some good points: it's right outside the railway station, the standard room is spacious, and my room and bathroom were clean. The staff were cooperative, room service was good, and I found the stay comfortable. Facilities are basic and the hotel is economical, though amenities are minimal. Still, the rooms and toilets feel like two-star quality while they charge four-star rates. I don't trust the cunning caretaker.

The air conditioner kept switching off every three hours, even though they had promised AC. The receptionist was rigid about the checkout time and told me to leave an hour earlier than the time displayed at the counter, at 10 a.m. I paid 1,750 rupees for an executive room for one day, and it wasn't worth it. I was in a hurry and picked this Oyo Hotel because it was near the railway station and I trusted the Oyo name, but the way it was run was unsatisfactory. They wouldn't accept online bookings and asked for payment again offline, then charged extra as they wished and refused the online rates. I don't know why Oyo keeps these hotels when they don't meet the criteria. Receptionists should be trained to speak to customers and manage things properly.
