Hotel Gangotri Plaza

This wasn’t really about the ₹1000, it was about basic courtesy. I told them well ahead of time that I couldn’t make the trip, so they wouldn’t lose out by holding the room, but they didn’t even respond about returning my money. I booked by phone and paid the ₹1000 advance on 29th November for a stay from 13th to 15th December. The very next day, 30th November, I let them know I had a genuine reason I couldn’t travel. On a proper booking platform, you get a full refund if you cancel at least two days beforehand. Ignoring my message over the refund felt heartless and unprofessional. People who can’t show simple courtesy shouldn’t be running a business for the public.

I paid a reasonable price for two nights, from 27.02.2026 to 01.03.2026, and the rooms were all neat and clean. The lady who owns the place was polite and very helpful. It’s right in the middle of Laxman Jhula market, so getting around was easy. I’d definitely recommend staying at Gangotri Plaza. I forgot to take better pictures of the room.

Menu ji deserves a special thanks for finding rooms for us around 1 AM, on just a phone call, and offering a better deal than any online booking platform. The owner and staff were very helpful and well-mannered, and we had a wonderful stay. The hotel was spotlessly clean and conveniently close to Laxman Jhula in Rishikesh. Google helped me find the place. Thank you, highly recommended!

The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the hotel is well maintained. Staff were polite and quick to help. Food was decent. It’s in a peaceful setting close to the main attractions, which made for a pleasant stay if you’re looking for comfort and convenience in the hills.
