Wild Brook Retreat

It’s very quiet out there, with a riverbed view and so many birds to see and hear. That was the highlight for me, and wandering around the peaceful area was lovely. The resort sits in the wilderness, about 45 mins by car through a river bed. Google gives the wrong route, so ask the owner for directions. The food was reasonable, mostly from a fixed menu with dal, vegetable, roti, and rice. Rooms are spacious but minimalistic and dimly lit, though you probably won’t spend much time indoors. There was a kettle, and each room had either a water cooler or an AC. Water wasn’t coming through our wash basin taps, but it worked in the other taps, so we had to fill buckets in the washroom. It was manageable, but a bit of an issue.

It has been more than two years since a tragic incident in my family stopped us from visiting your resort, even though we had paid in full. When we spoke, you assured me the full amount would be refunded. After chasing this for over two years, I have received only 10k back. I'm writing publicly now with great sadness and disappointment. Please expedite the remaining refund.

You can spot plenty of birds right at the resort, and the location is superb. The staff are very cooperative. If you're looking for a peaceful place to meditate or unwind, Wild Brook is a good choice.
