Hotel Aasthaa

The only thing going for this hotel is the location. My room smelled of smoke, had insects, and the Wi-Fi kept switching off. The living area and bathroom were extremely dirty, the toilets had not been cleaned at all, and the bedsheets were torn in several places. This was the worst hotel I’ve stayed in.

The service was excellent, and everyone from the bell attendant to the manager was friendly. The attached restaurant served very good food at an affordable price, making the stay pleasant and good value. I’m likely to visit Rourkela over the next five years and would like to stay here each time. The hotel is close to the railway station and nearby shops. Even at 3 am, I could walk two minutes for tea after Hotel Aastha's kitchen had closed. The room was a moderate size and decent, though the linen could be better. There was a mild fungus smell in the room, bed, and quilt.

I spent two days in an executive room, which was large enough to comfortably fit four people. There’s also an in-house restaurant with plenty of food choices at reasonable prices.

They’re overcharging people. They quoted 1500 at check-in, then asked for 1750 at checkout. Bad experience.
