I stayed here for official work for 15 nights before, and came back for another 7 nights this time. The food, atmosphere and everything else were excellent, and all the staff were friendly and professional. Special mention to Ranveer Ji, the manager, who's a great person and runs things superbly. Highly recommended!

I regularly have an amazing stay at Hotel Uday Residency. The room is spacious, spotless and nicely decorated, and the bed is very comfortable. We love the delicious restaurant food, especially the generous breakfast buffet. The hotel's location on Kichha road works well for our travel plans, and the friendly staff make us feel right at home. I'd highly recommend it.

Our two-night stay for a family wedding was disappointing. The rooms weren't up to standard, and housekeeping wasn't available to clean them properly, which made the stay uncomfortable. The food was poor, and service fell far short of what we expected. Meals, especially dinner, often arrived cold. Non-vegetarian curries were discussed and seemed to be promised, but never actually served. Poor room conditions, unavailable housekeeping, weak food quality and a lack of coordination made the whole stay unsatisfactory. I wouldn't recommend the hotel based on my experience.

We booked around 20 rooms for a three-night family wedding, but things went wrong from the start. I'm the groom's younger brother, and guests came from Delhi and Chandigarh, including relatives, friends, corporate colleagues and the bride's family for the shagan ceremony on day one. When people arrived, the staff were disorganized and basic arrangements were delayed. I had to stand at reception myself to make sure housekeeping collected guests' luggage and took it to their rooms. The hotel owner had moved most of the staff to another function, saying it was a family wedding. They used outdoor catering for our event, and there was no manager present during the two-day event to oversee things. At the Jaggo night, guests came from Rudarpur, Kashipur, Kichha, Ramnagar and Bilaspur. We had discussed and agreed on about 25-30 portions of non-vegetarian starters, but from what we saw, hardly 10 were served. Dinner was delayed even though we'd confirmed the timing. We had requested it by 10:00 PM, but it wasn't ready until 10:45 PM, so several guests from nearby places left without eating. The food wasn't heated either, it was just served cold in the display. There were no spoons or other cutlery set out, which showed poor planning. The rooms weren't satisfactory, and guests asking for cleaning were told at reception that housekeeping wasn't available. We also asked for extra mattresses, but the main owner said they didn't have a single one in such a huge property and claimed they'd sold all their extras. That wasn't acceptable. There weren't enough staff to help with luggage either, so most guests, including us, carried their own bags from the rooms to the parking area at checkout. Also, when we returned after the wedding on day two, no room had been decorated for the groom and bride as we'd discussed earlier. The lack of coordination, poor management, inadequate staffing and unprofessional service made the experience extremely disappointing. Despite booking so many rooms and holding an important family function, the hotel didn't meet even basic expectations. I run a homestay and café in Himachal and come from the same industry, so I understand the importance of hospitality and customer service. This property failed on all fronts, and I wouldn't recommend it.
