We went to Sonia Hotel for a family dinner to celebrate my chachi chachu’s anniversary, hoping for a warm occasion. Instead, none of the staff showed much welcome or basic courtesy, and it felt as if we were a burden. The food was cold and terrible. After we got home, several family members felt unwell, which made us worry that something was wrong with the food hygiene. A place for special celebrations should provide fresh food, good hygiene and respectful service, but Sonia Hotel fell short on all of those. It was a horrible experience, and I wouldn't recommend it for a family celebration.

The staff aren't polite and act as if they own Rudrapur. The service was the worst I've had at any hotel in Rudrapur, and there's a reason this place has two stars. It might seem cheap, but I think a stay here could ruin your mood. I'd suggest choosing somewhere else.

The beds were in very poor condition, and the reception staff behaved badly and demanded extra money. They gave misleading information about the booking, accepted it and then didn't provide the rooms we'd booked. Visitors should avoid booking here.

The hotel is well kept, and the staff were very courteous. Both the food and the service were excellent. A great place in Rudrapur, and one I'd recommend.

On a one-day business trip, I found the service very poor. The rest was good, and breakfast in particular was excellent.
