OYO 15636 Mountain Green

My son was going to Siliguri for NEET- PG, and the staff member at the desk put him under tremendous pressure through what I consider mischievous behavior. I booked a room in my own name for him for 9 to 11 August 2024. When he arrived to check in on the evening of 9/8/24, the staff member refused, saying payment from the travel agent, " MyTravaly Worldwide Travel Tec", hadn't come through, even though the OTP had been confirmed. My son then paid Rs.4500/- for 3 nights at Rs. 1500/- per night. I asked the agent for payment details and found they had paid the hotel on 7/8/24, then again on 10/8/24 for an extra night on 11/8/24, after the original booking for 9 and 10 August. Once my son showed the payment details sent by Travaly, the counter staff agreed to refund Rs.4500/-. The money was finally returned to my son on the evening of 11/8/24. Before that, the staff member had told me by phone that Travaly was a fake website with no connection to the resort. Please, sensible folks, don't trust this hotel. I seek an apology for this behavior and a promise that he won't do this to anyone else in the future.

The rooms and staff are good, and the food is decent. It's inside a residential area, with plenty of parking and a small playground out front that you can rent for weddings or other parties. They accept local ID. Being an OYO, it's as good as it can get, though the interior needs some renovation.

The rooms weren't very clean. The bedsheets seemed a bit old, and other areas were barely clean. The staff were pleasant and helpful, and service was good enough. The property has parking and is quite far from the main town, though that didn't bother us since we were driving.

The room had plenty of space, and the bathroom was okay. It was a quiet place, with really nice service staff. I liked being able to order room service, and they also let Zomato and Swiggy deliver right to the door. I enjoyed my stay.
