Cenneys Gateway - Pride of Salem

The room was reasonably clean and spacious, though the bedding and washroom were only acceptable, nothing exceptional. Some basic amenities felt average for the price, and parts of the place could use better maintenance. I could occasionally hear noise from the corridor, so the sound insulation could be improved. The location was decent and convenient for getting around Salem. Check-in went fairly smoothly, and the staff were polite and cooperative. I stayed at Hotel Cannes Gateway last week and would give the experience 3 out of 5.

The breakfast was a proper spread and tasted really good. We had a comfortable stay over the Pongal weekend, when service can be harder with the festival and reduced manpower, but requests were handled promptly and the staff were friendly and polite. The room was neatly set up, with clean linens and beds. The property is spacious, has plenty of parking, and sits on the thoroughfare. The elevator needs a keycard, which was a nice surprise in this city and a welcome extra security measure. Mr. Bhoopathi at the front desk, Mr.Karthick, a trainee, and all the restaurant staff deserve special mention.

We spent 3 to 4 nights here with family and had a pleasant stay. Riya and Phom at reception were welcoming, polite, and always ready to help with a smile. Their friendly, professional manner made things more comfortable. The visit was well managed, and Nayan in the restaurant gave us excellent service. I’d love to come back.

I spent around 40 days at Cenneys Residency in Salem, and it came to feel like a home away from home. The team at Aroma Restaurant were warm, and the food was delicious and well prepared, which made the long stay more enjoyable. Housekeeping did a great job every day. Rahul Prasad, Jayakrishnan, Yuvanshankar, Manikandan, Madan, Dhvian, Jerome Cheran, Sowrivasam, and Shuba (PAE) kept my room fresh, clean, and welcoming, with their head leading the team and attention to detail. The reception team gave me a genuine welcome when I arrived, and check-in was smooth and efficient. Bhupathi, Jeeva, Sahil, Satabdi, Youngsong, and Ragavender (FOE) were especially helpful and hospitable throughout. The staff’s friendliness and professionalism really stood out. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Salem. Thank you.
