Canary Islands Resort & Spa

My wife and I stayed here in April 2026 for her birthday. It’s quite far inside from Lonavala, but we felt it was worth the drive. The property feels luxurious and is beautiful and peaceful, with different birds to hear in the morning. We stayed in Dove cottage, and the rooms were very clean and felt premium. Everyone was helpful, from reception to the chef and room service, and they made us feel valued. They offer Jain food with separate kitchens for veg and non-veg, and there were plenty of Jain options. The hospitality and the setting made a big impression on us. Prices are a little steep, but for us the stay was completely worth it. We had a wonderful time, and I’d say it’s worth visiting.

A very laid-back place with a beach and shack vibe, almost like an island. I had a calm, relaxing stay, and the hospitality was top notch. Kayaking and the other water sports are worth trying. I’m not sure the experience fully justifies the price, though. I’d suggest booking the cheapest room and spending your time outdoors.

The hospitality, cleanliness, and ambience were all excellent at Canary Islands Resort & Spa. The place is peaceful and beautiful, and the management and service helped make our stay comfortable. Staff were professional, polite, and always willing to help. We had a great time and would highly recommend it for a relaxing stay with family or friends.

For a stay costing more than ₹60,000 for two days, we expected much better. We came to celebrate my mother’s 75th birthday, but poor facilities and service spoiled the occasion. The mattresses were old, towels weren’t provided in enough quantity for three guests, and the extra bedding we paid ₹16,000 for was an uncomfortable sofa-cum-bed. Even after asking repeatedly, we didn’t get extra blankets. We’d sent details and photos ahead of time for the celebration, but they arranged only a basic local mini cake. The iron burnt our clothes and gave electric shocks, which is a serious safety concern. My mother tripped on an uneven path to the room. When we needed help, reception phones couldn’t be reached, and nobody provided medication or immediate assistance. That’s unacceptable at a remote property. I also injured my shoulder during the zipline activity, which raised more safety concerns. Breakfast was below average and the same on both days. The one bright spot was Mr. Parshuram Bhansode, who was courteous and supportive. Given the cost and the amount of influencer marketing, I found this place highly overrated. I wouldn’t recommend it.
