Luxurious Vintage Villa

There was an electricity issue, and the villa was in a really pathetic condition. It’s a big villa but has only two bathrooms, and both were in poor shape, with a broken door and lizards and frogs around. I’ve stayed in many villas in Lonavala and never seen a CCTV camera in the living room. The owner asked us to pay in advance before check-in, which we did. After we’d used the villa for three hours, he called repeatedly asking for the rest of the payment. We said we’d pay shortly, and we did. He didn’t ask how our stay was, only kept asking us to clear the balance. Very disappointed with booking here.

The venue ruined our wedding day. We’d been promised a lovely outdoor ceremony area with great views, but got a cramped space full of overgrown weeds facing a parking lot. The recommended caterer was terrible, with cold, bland food and rude staff. The promised sound system failed too, and we had to scramble to find a replacement. Very disappointed. Don’t book this for ceremonies or an overnight stay.

The common areas were comfortable, and the villa was well maintained. The caretaker was attentive and helpful, always available and quick to sort out what we needed, including local transport and extra amenities. Our stay was hassle-free and enjoyable.

Surrounded by nature, this villa is well kept and tastefully designed. The food was excellent, and everything went smoothly. A great getaway for friends or family.
