Sai River Resort

Sai River Resort felt well managed and worth the price. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and clean, the amenities were kept up well, and the ambience was relaxing. Staff and service were excellent and made the stay easy and enjoyable. A satisfying, peaceful getaway, and I'd definitely recommend it.

We couldn't get guests served on time on departure day, even after making several requests, and that caused chaos and disappointment among the wedding party. During the wedding and reception, the food service also fell short: the rotis were thick, the halwa was cold, and the bride and groom were given hard, cold food that had been left out in a few plates. The food had tasted really good at the initial tastings, and we chose Sai River Resort, Khopoli partly because the staff seemed understanding and accommodating. The management in-charge was rude and wouldn't hear our complaints. The MD had promised to supervise the events through to the end, but left before the final event. In the rooms, there was no mosquito repellent despite our clear instructions, the geysers weren't working, and frogs got into some rooms. We'd also agreed during the decoration discussions that there would be a flower shower for the Varmala ceremony and cold fireworks at the reception. Sai River Resort didn't provide the promised flower shower at the wedding. Overall, this was a very disappointing and frustrating experience. The resort doesn't follow through on commitments or provide decent service.

The food was satisfactory, but the service didn't meet expectations. Several adventure activities advertised on the website weren't operating when we visited, and the room geysers weren't working properly. The carrom board and other indoor games were old and in poor condition. We held our office picnic at Sai River Resort, Khopoli in February 2026. The pool was open only from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and the water park only from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, which limited what we could do. Based on this experience, we wouldn't recommend booking the resort for future picnics.

The buffet was a highlight, with great local Indian flavors and good service in the dining area. The mini water park and rain dance were lots of fun for kids, and adults can enjoy them too. For a more private resort feel, I'd pick the Supreme Wooden Cottages over the standard rooms. I just wrapped up a two-day stay at Sai River Resort. The riverside setting was beautiful and peaceful, a lovely spot for morning coffee on the lawn, and a welcome break from city noise.
