The Hosteller Bam Lonavala, Tiger Point

This was one of the worst hostel stays I’ve had. The food choice was extremely limited, yet the prices were ridiculously high, more like a luxury 5-star hotel. The value was awful, and there wasn’t even a proper way to get a glass of drinking water on the premises. The front desk staff, especially Mayuri, Junaid, and Shahid, came across as unprofessional and uninterested in helping. They often seemed busy with their own things. When I raised problems or asked for help, they ignored or brushed them off with “we cannot do anything.” Feedback was treated just as badly. Rather than resolve genuine concerns, staff seemed focused on shutting down complaints. After being ignored repeatedly, raising your voice could get you threatened with being blacklisted from their properties instead of getting help. A hostel depends on how it treats guests, and this property falls well short of acceptable standards. Management should review the front desk team’s conduct and improve guest service before more people have the same experience.

I brought my two Shih Tzus along, and over five days at Hosteller Tiger Point I had a great time with the team. We held a company meet in mid January with 12 people, booking six rooms. The feedback from everyone was consistent: the place is quiet and serene, with a great climate and amazing mountain views. The rooms were in good condition, the food was good, and the nighttime bonfire was a treat. The hospitality stood out most. Not once in five days did anyone say no to anything, and Junaid and Mayuri were amazing hosts. A 5-star property in every way. Best wishes to the team. I’ll definitely visit again a few more times.

Everything runs through an online system that’s next-level amazing. The location is great and the food is exactly what you want. For peace of mind and a stress-free experience, this is the place to go.

The team made this stay special. The staff, mostly Gen-Z, were humble, welcoming, and soft-spoken. Junaid, Nilanjana, Mayuri, and Willy especially went out of their way to make us feel at home. They set up an evening bonfire, then staff and guests all joined in for karaoke and introductions. It felt so warm and inclusive that it was hard to tell who was hosting whom. We stayed at The Hostellar Bam, Lonavala from 23rd December ’25 to 26th December ’25, and had a wonderful time from start to finish. The property was spotless and well cared for, with impressively spacious rooms, and the delicious food added to the comfort. In terms of looks and amenities, it could easily pass for 4-star plus, while the prices are remarkably economical, even compared with a regular 3-star hotel. We’re more than satisfied and would choose it again when we’re in Lonavala. For trips elsewhere, The Hostellar will be our first place to check for availability. Highly recommended! 🌟
