The river’s steady, soothing sound is a lovely bonus, and the mountain views from Shruthi Guest House are wonderful. It’s a peaceful spot in Sangla. Staff were kind and hospitable. The rooms and food are just okay, but clean and functional for the price. If you’re on a budget and care more about the scenery and atmosphere than luxury, it’s a solid choice.

The views are lovely, and Neelam Negi and Tapinder, who look after the guest house, are kind and helpful. They really go out of their way to make guests comfortable. Highly recommend.

The service was really good, and the Himalayas were visible from our room. We stayed in their spacious, warm cottage, though the bathroom did keep smelling. The kids loved the garden in front of the rooms. There are wooden chairs in the garden, where we had dinner and breakfast. That was a good, unusual experience.

They advertise the property as “Pet Friendly,” but when I called, I was told dogs weren’t allowed. That seemed strange to me, since most people consider dogs pets. I asked why they called it pet friendly, then gave them my dates when they asked. They said the property was full, even though I checked Booking and makemytrip and it was actually available.
