The staff were warm and quick to help, and I’d happily stay here again, though I’d ask for a lower-floor room. We were in a lovely old Portuguese-style mansion, with a very nice room, a huge walk-in shower, and plenty of hot water. The only nuisance was a steady repeating noise in our top-floor room, maybe a water pump. It nearly drove my roommate mad, though it didn’t bother me much.

We spent four nights here as a family and really liked the charm of the place. It’s a tastefully converted Portuguese villa and a nice change from the crowded hotels by the beach. You’ll need a vehicle to get around.

The Portuguese-style architecture at La Amorosa is a real treat, especially if you’re into heritage design. The place felt warm and relaxing, and the management and service made our stay memorable. A lovely spot for a getaway, highly recommended.

The manager was very polite and even helped us plan each day, while requests were taken care of promptly. We had a pleasant stay in this beautiful heritage home, and the food at the in-house Jungle Cafe was amazing. A wonderful experience.

The staff were pleasant, though not easy to find when needed. My room was large and okay, but the kitchen and washroom weren’t. There was a mosquito repellent unit, yet I still had a restless night with bites. I found only a small coffee mug, with no coffee or tea sachets and no non-sugar sweeteners. I had to ask for coffee powder for the morning. The shower wasn’t enclosed and sat awkwardly between the sink and toilet, so both got wet when I showered. There were no hooks for clothes in the washroom.
