Goroomgo Mohit Paying Guest House Varanasi

My train was more than 5 hours late, so I reached the guesthouse in the middle of the night. I had worried I might have trouble finding it, since I'd read that many Varanasi guesthouses are hard to reach and that you can only get there on foot, not by transport. The owner assured me I'd arrive safely, and I did. As a solo female traveler, I felt completely secure and welcome. My room and bathroom were clean. The next day, I met the owner, who shared knowledge about the culture and area, and I got to experience many beautiful things. I appreciate the owner and staff for making sure I was comfortable.

I had a great experience here. The room was spacious, the bathrooms clean, and the staff cooperative. It's budget friendly and good value for money, and the owner, Mr. Anand, is humble and knowledgeable. Thanks to the trees and parks, Sarnath stays cooler than Varanasi city, which is a relief. One drawback is the narrow road to the guest house, which is always waterlogged and could be a challenge if you're bringing a 4 wheeler. Also, nearby temples play religious music all night during the Dashera & Divali festival, so bring ear plugs if you want a good night's sleep.

The owner offered to let us stay longer because it was raining when checkout time came. We had a really nice stay, the rooms were clean, and there were no issues at all. Awesome host, highly recommended!

We arrived at 2am, only to be told over the phone that our confirmed room had been given to someone else. At that hour we were left searching for a place to stay. The owner had confirmed our booking for one room, so this was a horrible experience. I ask everyone not to book this lodge. In fact, I should have filed a complaint with the Police.
