Gir Jungle Lodge

We stayed overnight in one of the cottages. The property is green, spacious and clean, surrounded by wheat fields and a mango orchard. Breakfast was quite good, and there's a nice restaurant about 100 m away for lunch or dinner. The staff were nice and cooperative. The owner is a Delhi person who settled here for the clean, fresh air.

The location worked well for us, near both Devalia Safari Park and Singh sadan, where we took a safari. House of Bandhni is nearby for a quick shopping stop, too. At night, we sat by the fireplace and used the large stargazing area to watch the sky away from the lights. Gir Lodge had good facilities. The rooms are spacious and clean, with big bathrooms, and the food always came fresh and hot. It felt like eating at home. We had a very good experience and would highly recommend it!

Occupancy was low during our stay, so the property was quiet. We could act like kids without feeling judged, and the staff gave us kind attention. The accommodation was decent, and Jayesh bhai's hospitality was excellent. The cook's food was great too. I do wish the swimming pool had been maintained. A swim after Gir Safari would have been relaxing, but overall it's a good place to stay.

The cottage was beautiful, neat and clean, and we had a lovely two-night family stay. The staff were friendly and cooperative, and the food was great and homely. The hotel didn't provide an electric kettle or tea and coffee sachets. Morning bed tea had to be ordered from the kitchen and charged separately. Since Gir Jungle Lodge charges us exorbitantly, I feel this is a basic need that even budget hotels provide. I hope management will look into it.
