Juna Mahal Jungle Resort Ranthambore

The property has real potential to become a five-star place if it’s managed well. It feels as if an owner who built Juna Mahal with great passion sold that dream to someone with money but not enough experience to bring it to that level. The staff, chef, reception team, and managers were rarely five-star, while the food and spacious grounds were mostly four-star. Other things sometimes felt like three-star. I’d rate it 3.8/5. The staff were genuinely nice and seemed to be doing a lot with limited resources, trying their best to give guests a five-star feeling.

The property is beautiful, with spacious, elegant rooms, but the quality doesn’t match what the hotel has on offer. Service and hospitality were sometimes lacking, the food wasn’t good whether ordered from the à la carte menu or buffet, and there was no action when we raised the issue. Cultural activities were missing, and there wasn’t anything to do during free time. In peak season, I wouldn’t choose this place. The price feels high for the service and inclusions provided.

The quiet atmosphere and cultural activities give Juna Mahal Jungle Resort a lot of charm, and it’s a comfortable place to unwind after exploring Ranthambore’s tiger safari. The staff are warm and attentive, and the spacious rooms are comfortable and beautifully decorated, including the private pool villas. The resort brings together royal heritage and modern comforts. The food is flavorful, though there could be more variety and some improvement in quality. A lovely option in Ranthambore for comfort, culture, and hospitality.

Manohar and the whole team at Juna Mahal made my husband’s birthday stay special for our family and friends. We were surprised with a complimentary room upgrade, and the food was delicious with plenty of variety throughout the stay. The rooms and surroundings were impeccably clean, and every staff member showed genuine care. They kept checking that our group was comfortable and well looked after. I’d highly recommend Juna Mahal for a memorable break with family or friends.
