ParkLane Hotel

Hotel Parklane was a huge disappointment. The poor customer handling started with the security at the entrance and continued through the hotel staff. They were ill mannered and seemed untrained, room service standards were low, and the washrooms weren't maintained well. I wouldn't recommend staying there. Nearby, Hotel Incredible One was very good. The rooms and the whole stay were up to standard, with good food and buffet options.

The location is a big plus: it's right in the middle of a market, with good places around and just about anything easy to find. Employees are helpful, though they're a little short staffed. The rooms are nice, if a bit pricey. Food is fine, and breakfast is included and fine too.

The rooms are okay and manageable for a day or two, but checking out was unpleasant. Be careful entering your PIN for a card payment, since the wrong amount can be entered on the swipe machine.

The staff were okay, room service was good, and the food was good too, but I had a poor stay overall. I found bed bugs in my room; reception changed it right away when I called. The AC units are old window types, not split units, and the one in my previous room didn't cool. Lighting was insufficient and the blankets weren't up to standard.
