Treebo Staying Center

The meals were different each day and very tasty, whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The staff were humble, kind, and polite, and we never felt away from home. Room service came on time, and each day it felt like coming back to a clean home. The tables, bedsheets, beds, and bathroom were kept very clean and up to date. It was a lovely stay: the rooms were big, clean, and well kept. I truly recommend the place to anyone visiting Shillong Staying centre. Rooms and Restaurant, Mawpat East Khasi hills, Shillong Meghalaya.

We expected a Treebo level stay, but were completely disappointed. There was no water in the morning, the restaurant wasn't neat, and the rooms lacked even basic facilities. The phone seemed to be there for show, with no code connected. Even the toilet seats were broken. The staff had no idea what was going on. Please don't waste your money.

The hotel is away from the city's hustle and bustle and felt quiet, though traffic and nearby activity may still bother sensitive sleepers. Service and cleanliness were the highlights, and all the staff were polite and respectful. There is room for improvement. The TV in one of our rooms had been taken off the wall and put in a cupboard. My room smelled strongly of cigarettes, and the smell lingered even after I kept the windows open for a long time. We also had no water in our rooms for about half an hour, but the staff resolved that promptly.

The room was small, but it was good and properly managed. The front desk girl was amazing at handling travelers. There is also a small restaurant where you need to order in advance. I booked three nights through Treebo online after reading reviews and paid 50% in advance. I had informed them online that we'd arrive late, but at check-in they said they'd cancelled the whole booking because I was late. We were surprised and frustrated. After I showed the transaction, they gave me a small room and said the amount paid for one night wouldn't be adjusted toward another night. They charged me for four nights even though I stayed three and had notified them about the late arrival earlier. Both the property owner and Treebo need to have a person handle bookings.
