Getting there is the main drawback. It's tucked into the interior, and the narrow lanes make driving tricky. Still, it's affordable, the rooms are clean, and three people can stay comfortably in one. The food is average, while the staff are friendly and helpful. An average place to stay otherwise.

I really liked the room and atmosphere. The owner was very friendly and made us tasty homemade food. Awesome stay, highly recommend it.

The location is a long way from the main city, but the stay was wonderful overall. They serve a lovely early breakfast for just 60 rupees, with two pieces of bread and tea. There is a phone in the room, though it won't work unless you figure it out, and they hardly ever pick up calls. You won't feel alone in your room either, since you can hear people murmuring from the next room, the balcony, and pretty much everywhere.

The service is awful, awful, awful, even if it's not literally zero. They gave us breakfast after 8:30 am, so we couldn't leave for sightseeing before 9. The hotel is outside the city, which means crossing Shillong to get to Cherapunji, Dawki, or Guwahaty and losing at least 45 minutes. They act as if they're doing you a favour, but don't actually do anything. There's no restaurant, and you have to eat in your room. Even if they gave you a free room, don't stay here if you're touring, because you'll waste time.
