This place is horribly dirty and badly run. Dust was settled everywhere in the room, and even after we wiped it with baby wipes, it came back. Under the bed was filthy, as if the cleaner had forgotten it completely. The bed looked like something had been going on there just before check-in, and I couldn’t imagine sleeping in it. There was a big jhoomar and some nonsense illustrations on the walls. The first impression was awful. The front desk staff were the worst, completely indifferent, and the rooms were dreadful. It needs to take general cleanliness seriously. I had one of the worst experiences of my life. This hotel seems to be just for namesake, and it’s an “ayaashi ka adda” for people of Pluto, which is also located in Shimla. They seem to be connected somehow. Do yourself a favour and don’t go. I wish I could give it zero.

Getting our luggage out was a hassle. The hotel isn’t on the road, so we had to carry everything ourselves. On the first day, they argued with us over food and service. The next day they were nicer, and the food tasted good, but although they promised breakfast in the morning, there was no food or service. If you’ve already booked, I’d suggest cancelling. You can stay here if you’re prepared to do everything yourself. Good for nothing.

The food was just okay, with a basic menu. Getting there is tiring: the hotel is up a hill, cars can’t reach it, and you have to walk along the steep road from where they drop you. There’s no parking, and carrying luggage or coming back from sightseeing every day is difficult. The rooms are in terrible condition, the maintenance is poor, and service is bad. There’s no lift for the third or fourth floors. Staff will bring luggage up only if they happen to be at reception, but most of the time nobody was there. We told them we’d check out at 5 AM and needed help with our bags, yet the main gate was locked and reception was empty. Our driver had to come rescue us. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

We were told a staff member would bring tea early and take our luggage down on the third day, but the guy never woke up. We rang the bell at least 100 times, and other customers got up, but he didn’t. The hotel is on the road, but cars can’t go inside. On the first day, they fought with us over food. The next day, the staff member behaved nicely. Other guests were also arguing about the unhygienic place and dirty curtains and bedsheets. There’s no professional staff. The service was pathetic, the worst ever. If you’ve booked, please cancel.

My room wasn’t available when I reached Shimla, even though I’d booked it. They gave me a room three hours after check-in time. The place is very dirty, and they moved our luggage and personal belongings without telling us. I strongly recommend against staying here, even if it’s free. Find another option. If you book a meal, I promise they won’t provide it.
