OYO Rooms Old Bus Stand Shimla

There’s not much room in the rooms, and the hotel is old enough that many facilities aren’t working. Water supply is lacking, which made the stay uncomfortable. The bathroom was unsanitary, had no biget, and was dimly lit. There’s no ceiling fan either, so we had to rely on the old table fan provided, which wasn’t working properly.

Getting to the hotel is a real hassle, with very narrow steps, and you have to pay a collie Rs 100 to carry luggage. The staff weren’t cooperative, and complaints about the TV not working got no response. Hospitality was very bad. Don’t choose a front side room, and don’t trust the pictures: the Super Deluxe Room felt like a bathroom. They say it’s near Mall Road, but reaching it is difficult. Food was okay for the price, though the menu choices were limited. Very bad location, if I could I’d give it no stars, but there’s no option.

The food was good, and most of the staff were courteous. One man at reception had an unpleasant tone, though the other was really nice. The arrangements were very good, and I had a good experience overall. There’s no lift, and you have to climb steps to get here, as you do at many places near mall road in Shimla. The rooms are small, and the view from them isn’t anything special.

I left a parcel of photos behind, and after I contacted them, they sent it on to Manali. Big thanks for that. The staff were polite and quick to help, and the food was just awesome. I stayed for two nights and three days, and the place was clean and well maintained. You can’t drive right up to Harmony purple, though, so you have to walk, and there’s no lift. Apart from that, it was the best.
