Finding the place from the road was difficult, and there’s no parking. The room setup looks like a three-bedroom flat, with one balcony room and an attached bathroom, but the kitchen had no facilities. There was no drinking water, heater, or hot water either. The rooms smelled bad, and the only room with a view had wires across it. The pillow covers were dirty, and the sheet looked as if someone had walked on it in dirty slippers. This was the worst room I’ve stayed in in Shimla.

The room decor and mountain view earned the two stars from me. The service staff were pleasant, and the hotel was easy to find, but it’s about 13 km from the main city. Getting to Mall Road, Ridge, or Scandal point can take nearly an hour by public bus. A hired vehicle from Panthaghati costs at least Rs. 500 for those places. There was no complimentary breakfast. When we arrived, no water was provided, and the water they brought on our first evening after we asked had a spider in it. There was also a spider in the room, and no OYO toiletries or dustbin.

The room smelled, and the bed had stains all over it. There’s no parking, and we struggled to locate the hotel. Only a few rooms have a view, and electric wires block those. Not worth 10 bucks.

It’s a budget hotel, so I wasn’t expecting much. Still, I was extremely cold and asked for an extra blanket, but they turned me down. I guess better service goes with paying more. No surprise there.

The bathroom hadn’t been flushed properly, and an empty soap packet was still on the floor. The sheets and towels seemed unchanged, and the rooms were filthy and smelled like pee. There was no drinking water from the filter, no hot water for the cold weather, and no food. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. This was one of my worst experiences with OYO rooms, and even one star feels too generous.
