Wingait Inn - Hotel Near The Mall Road

We only spent a couple of hours here, so I’d like to stay longer on my next visit before writing a detailed review. The hotel and rooms felt posh, with spacious, well-kept rooms and pleasant surroundings. The staff were well behaved. The linen was clean, and although the furniture was dated, it was spotless. The walk to Mall Road is a bit long, and the road up to the hotel is quite steep, so we mostly covered it by car.

We had booked two rooms for 29 June and were on our way to Simla when a landslide happened near Chakki. Heavy rocks damaged two cars in front of us, and continuous slides kept us from reaching Simla. We immediately informed the hotel and asked for a refund. The hotel GM said he knew about the landslide but refused to return the 5000 advance. Inhuman management with no business ethics.

Wingait Inn in shimla is a peaceful place away from the city’s hustle and bustle, with lovely mountain and forest views. The rooms are generally well kept and have modern amenities, with different categories for different budgets and preferences. Many offer great mountain views. The staff were friendly, courteous, and helpful throughout, which added to a positive stay. A good choice for a quiet retreat with nice amenities, a beautiful setting, and good service.
